Build A Better Longmont

Come on...Let's BABL!

We're driven by accomplishing our vision of a future where all people of the St. Vrain Valley lead independent, generous, and creative lives.

In the next few weeks we want to hear from you so that we learn about the issues that you want to work on to better our community.  We will exam our survey feedback, gather information at the Community Forums and eventually bring neighbors, nonprofits, businesses and the city together to develop solutions to the issue(s) that you and the rest of the community select as top priorities.  We won't solve every issue but our immediate goal is to collectively develop solutions that address some of the most pressing needs.

Here's how you can get involved and BABL

1.  Participate in our community survey.   It's just a few short questions AND your views help determine which issue(s) we should address. Take the survey

2.  Attend one of six public forum to express your views on how to Build A Better Longmont. Select one of these dates OR contact us to customize a feedback forum for your group or neighborhood.  To RSVP for a forum please send an email OR call us at 303-678-6555

                Saturday, April 20 at 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

                Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm to 8 p.m.

                Tuesday, April 30 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

                Saturday, May 4th  8 a.m. to 9:30 am.

                Sunday, May 5th 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

                Thursday, May 9th 6 pm. to 7:30 p.m.

3.  Support the BABL fund.  This fund will be used to fund the broadest array of issues you care about (e.g. health, human services, education, and arts).  Donate online or contact us about donating other assets such as appreciated stock, real estate, or a required distribution from an IRA

4.  Create your own fund to improve Longmont. You have the control of how to grant from your own fund.  You may make your donations to support heath and human services organizations, arts and culture, schools, churches and/or city programs, etc.
